Well-travelled quilts

Cwilt Cymru members’ quilts will be travelling far and wide this year. Whilst the Spirit of the Celts exhibition stays on home ground in Wales with the current showing in Llangollen, and the full exhibition at Oriel Ynys Môn in August, other work is further afield.

The prize for long-distance travel goes to Judith’s Illuminating Blue which will be shown in the Australasian Quilt Show in Melbourne, Australia in April.

Bethan’s Simdde is currently on show at the Quilt Museum and Gallery in York as part of the CQ@10 exhibition, which will then travel to the Loch Lomond Quilt Show in Scotland in May, Llangollen Museum in June and the Helmsley Art Centre in Yorkshire in August.

Judy, Judith and Millie plan to have work in the Quilters’ Guild Region 12 exhibition of members’ work, “Say it with Flowers”, at the Cynon Valley Museum, Aberdare from 2 March – 13 April.
