Structures exhibition Henley-on-Thames

Cwilt Cymru member Judith Barker has two quilts in the Structures exhibition which runs 19 – 24 November at the Old Fire Station Gallery, Upper Market Place, Henley on Thames RG9 2AQ.

Judith Barker Red WindowsJudith explains the inspiration for Red Windows: “I have collected photographs of arches and windows for years, and eventually made this piece loosely based on gothic arches; the vivid reds are influenced by the glow of light through stained glass onto stone.”

    Well done, Judith. Red Windows reminded me of seeing Kings College chapel, Cambridge, lit inside only by candles.
